The world of Elrios has fallen into chaos. Time and space have become distorted, alternate realities blending together into one unstable timeline... and now, the chaos has breached into other worlds. Online Dragons Game is an invite-only Dreamwidth RP which currently does not exist, but may exist in the future, set in the world of Elsword Online. The main goal of this game would be to create a relaxed, low-commitment game setting for friends who don't have time/energy for another full blown game, but do still want some form of structure to play around. it is also a blatant excuse for me to write ten billion words about Elsword lore and trick people into reading it.why is it called online dragons game
Hypothetical features:
- Minimalist apps that only require basic info and wiki links to get a grasp of who a character is
- Canon characters? Canon AUs? OCs? Canon OCs? CRAU? Some insane AU you pulled out of your ass?? i trust y'all so i don't give a fuck, give me your wildest characters everything is legal
- Doubles may or may not also be allowed because timespace is canonically fucked anyway, maybe something like "doubles only if the current player(s) approve"
- Check-in AC only, with maybe some optional bonuses to reward actually threading stuff if that helps people trick their brains into productivity (i know my brain is dumb like that)
- No required humanization or power nerfs aside from Whatever Is Most Convenient For Fun-Purposes
- Some sort of quest system for prompt purposes and also because i think it'd be fun to make up silly quests
- Ten billion pages of optional lore, for people who actually listen to my endless Elsword lore ramblings for some godforsaken reason
- yes characters can learn magic and i will write a billion more words about how i think the magic system works

I can't be assed to figure out a proper system right now but +1s will be allowed so you can bring your own friends, feel free to share this post w\ people for that reason exactly. i'm gonna be pretty lax with letting people in but also reserving the right to reject anyone for any reason because life is too short to willingly run a game and then have to deal with people who annoy me.

Long version: something something Add (likely TFS!CRAU, hello my fellow ex-TFS friendos) gets hired as the new Time & Space Admin-In-Training and then immediately fucks up, because maybe he should not be left in charge of all of timespace, actually. Unfortunately Glave thinks this is hilarious so Add is left to solve the problem on his own. This, obviously, does not go well.
The good news is, everything is fine!! probably!!! No one's homeworlds are in danger, getting everyone back home is actually quite simple and they can even return to the exact point in time they vanished... Add is just swamped with all this dang timespace nonsense and refuses to ask for help, so he'll get to it when he gets to it. Maybe go kill some time in Elrios while you're waiting. Fight some monsters, go fishing, establish a new government, join an apocalypse cult, idk i'm not your mom.
I'M MOSTLY KIDDINGGGGGGG crying im sorry.... but it'll be optional/for reference as needed and not like. assigned homework reading before you can play in the game or w/e. I don't expect anyone to actually read every dumb bit of obscure lore I decide to make a page for I just like writing about this setting and all the weird headcanons I've stapled together from the scraps I'm given... and hey, I'll make sure everyone has plenty to work with for setting details and the like if you need ideas for things to do.what kind of setting is Elrios? the wiki is confusing and hard to follow and i'm too lazy to deal with that
but also, because time & space is Fucked we can play extra fast and loose, so if you wanna just make a wild guess instead of checking something or otherwise fuck up on Important Lore we can handwave it as some kind of dimensional fuckery. don't worry about it.

In short, Elrios is high fantasy (magic, monsters, elves... very few dragons but there are dragons) with most of the world's technology sitting somewhere in the early 1800's, but maybe don't think too hard about it. We have trains but no cars, ???? fucking AIRSHIPS, and half the main cast is mystified by the amazing invention known as the elevator. Also hyper-advanced robots powered by magic crystals were invented like 1000 years ago but then they wanted like... equal rights??? so they became illegal and hyper-advanced tech is just ancient ruins now. Tech is no longer illegal because the government exploded 500 years ago but people will probably think your cellphone is weird. They somehow invented portal-based dimensional travel and floating islands before figuring out how to get to space, which I guess still hasn't been done yet. Yeah.
there will be a network because the very first thing Add is doing upon his glorious return to Elrios is combining technology and timespace powers to establish The Internet, But Better. you're welcome.
New arrivals would left to fend for themselves, but the capitalist overlords of Cobo Service would be more than happy to offer employment or mercenary-type sidequest jobs so people can pay for very expensive unfurnished houses or at least like... afford food, maybe. Or you can just set up a tent in the wilderness. WHATEVER WORKS i believe in everyone's survival skills, ganbatte.

Very plot light, but also if people wanna mess with the lore or run their own crazy plots I will 100% enable that to the best of my ability. I guess the "plot" would be trying to get Add to do his job properly and fix timespace and send everyone home but like... good luck with that. he's trying his best.i like this dumb game idea for some reason, when will it become a thing that exists??
Events will be a range of whatever people wanna see rly but probably mostly lighthearted things. Expect dumb MMO meta shit like "whoops this raidboss accidentally appeared and now everyone has to fight it", "everyone's powers have been randomly buffed/nerfed as per balance patch tradition", and "we accidentally merged with the idol AU so now everyone has to be idols until this event ends, which could be anywhere from a month to an entire fucking year send help". Event stuff would probably be a monthly thing or whenever I come up with something, idk scheduling is for chumps. It's meant to be a chill side game so if people want more stuff to do or less stuff to do then we'll figure that out when its actually a thing that exists.

tbh whether there's any kind of cap or not depends entirely on everyone's collective stance on AC/doubles so like. PREFERABLY it'd be no caps whatsoever/yes to doubles and we embrace all the chaos that entails, but if anyone has strong opposition to doubles being a thing there would need to be character limits and maybe an actual AC so people aren't fighting over all the popular characters shared across muselists or w/e.
but anyway yeah more likely than not: if there's a character cap it'll be high, play as many weirdos as you want i dont care
